Engage deployed a team who established a Programme Management Office (PMO) which included processes, responsibilities, management controls and a governance methodology. Additionally, the team set up a process to manage and review continuous improvement activities, and subsequently delivered training courses in project management and project sponsorship.
A review of one of Babcock’s training delivery contracts, identified that there was no effective method to deliver Continuous Improvements once identified. It was consequently difficult to monitor progress, prioritise resources, and control costs when attempting to enact improvements.
Following the establishment of the PMO and subsequent training by the Engage team, Babcock staff were able to manage their projects more effectively, monitor progress at a programme level and prioritise resources to those projects which would have the greatest benefit.
