To conduct an Availability Improvement Programme (AIP) to ascertain the full extent of the in-service support equipment for the Ch47 aircraft, inclusive of Role Equipment (ARM & DAS), GSE, Tooling (inclusive of PTT), and TME. Working in close collaboration with the CH47 DT, BDUK, the associated supporting DT(s), and key stakeholders within both the FLC and the MRO (Depth), the Programme Team conducted a complex and comprehensive technical study in to all support equipment items. The AIP report provided a detailed body of evidence, observations and recommendations outlining the extant availability of equipment and the contractural support arrangements for each item. Additionally, it provided a baseline understanding to inform the wider, strategic, Rotary Wing Enterprise (RWE) programme, which looks to introduce a revised framework for the management of all in-service rotary platforms.
