Projects are single, temporary endeavours, undertaken to achieve specific results. Programmes are groups of projects, managed in a coordinated manner to achieve broader results, or achieve benefits, which are not available from managing them individually. A Portfolio is a collection of projects and programmes (and operations) managed to achieve strategic objectives.

This has enabled us to successfully support clients through some huge, and deeply challenging, change programmes. The list below contains some of key core skills:
Let’s face it, we want our clients to be successful, so operational excellence and person-centred partnering are at the centre of everything we do. Our people have a real commitment to Delivery with Excellence and a passion for creating value for our clients. Whatever the setting or task, we always want to be personally connected to what’s going on and will build, or reinforce, a culture of action and engagement. We understand and respect the power of teamwork and will integrate with our customers’ teams as seamlessly and as effectively as possible. A typical project lifecycle might be as simple as this:
Following a 20 year career as an Army Officer which included a significant role in contributing to the writing of the Cat ‘A’ BOWMAN Business Case as part of the then Defence Procurement Agency (DPA), Graham has spent the last 17 years operating as a project management specialist. He has spent most of this time working either for major companies in the Oil and Gas sector or for consultancy houses such as CH2M and Jacobs, where he was predominantly employed in the Defence Sector with DE&S / Army HQ.
David has served in a wide variety of Regimental and Defence roles in UK, Germany, Canada and the USA. David retired from the British Army in late 2013 having spent his final fourteen years procuring and supporting Defence communication and information systems.
I joined Engage in 2020 as a consultant after leaving the Army having been in the REME for 15 years. During this time, I have been promoted to level 3 Senior Consultant and appointed as Knowledge Management lead as part of the capability team.
