Client Objectives

The initial stage of addressing the issues, was to identify the symptoms that have been plaguing the Land Support Enterprise and to find their root causes. Working alongside Ministry of Defence engineers, Engage led a combined industry team comprising programme design, engineers, Supply Chain and Transformation Subject Matter Experts. The team performed a broad and deep assessment of the current ‘As Is’ state of the Land Support Enterprise, focusing on the provision of support to land platforms.

Key Deliverables

The Common Support Model (Land) Programme was launched in 2018 with the purpose of ‘fixing what is broken’ within the land support enterprise, and to support the implementation of the Army’s Future Support Solution Sub-Strategy. Previous approaches to tackle stove-piped concerns had not recognised the need to fix the operating model itself.  

Our Role

With a deliberate engagement strategy, the Common Support Model (Land) team captured the high-level ‘As Is’ landscape, designed a ‘Should Be’ landscape, proposed an Implementation Strategy & Plan that when implanted would improve overall operational performance.The Ministry of Defence assessed Engage’s recommendations and with advice and technical support from Engage established a change programme based on the proposed Implementation Plan.
