We were delighted to host a stand at DE24. The two-day event proved to be hugely successful. DE24 provided the ‘Team UK Defence’ community with first-hand insights into how Digital Engineering is transforming Defence to get capabilities into service much quicker than before.
We heard about the UK’s ambition, the good practices and results from others, how UK MOD is using the Digital Engineering Capability Centre to bring Team UK Defence together and expose the opportunities for our suppliers to move ahead. The event provided opportunities to discuss key initiatives and strategies, exchange information, strengthen relationships, and set the context for a year of rapid progress and change.
Naomi Wakelin supported David Gagen, Chair and Karina Pearce, Managing Director in running the Engage contribution to the DE 24 event.
She explained ‘’the event was a fantastic opportunity to discuss digital engineering with wider industry colleagues. We were able to explain what Engage is doing to support Defence digital engineering. Discussions sparked ideas and connections that have already improved the service Engage can provide for the Authority. We were also able to update senior Defence staff on inflight projects, as well as outline where future business opportunities could catalyse next steps. This included a valuable opportunity to spend time with DE&S’ Deputy CEO and the Programme Director for Business Modernisation for Support’’.
