Base Inventory Warehouse Management System
The Project responsible for replacement of the Ministry of Defence (MOD) Air Base Inventory System, which had provided Supply Chain support to worldwide Air Operations for more than 40 years. The replacement was required due to the complex interfaces which existed with the current solution and the legacy technology it was based on, which was difficult to support and incurred significant support costs on an annual basis.
- Technical Support – extensive knowledge for technical areas including interfaces with the wider Logistic Information Services portfolio; unique Information System details and application development
- Data Migration Support – support to the migration of data from the legacy system to the new service; materiel account rectification and all post migration activities including data exceptions resolution
- Testing Support – management of the user acceptance testing, including development of user test cases; support to system integration testing and regression testing of systems interfaced with the new solution
- Business Support – support to all areas of business activities including business change; resolution of business issues and post-migration defect rectification
The use of Engage staff ensured that the implementation of this solution worked seamlessly with the wider portfolio, including the deployed logistic application used across Defence.
Engage employs a unique group of Logistic Information Systems (Log IS) Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) not available in either the public or private sector. These SMEs have a combined experience of more than 60 years in the Defence Supply Chain and worked on delivering high profile Defence Log IS projects such as the Management of the Joint Deployed Inventory (MJDI) and Hand Held Devices.
